The Ai-Native Talent Hunt With Codex - #Sftechweek
AI x Biosecurity — LatchBio Benchmark Launch
This event is over, it happened on
July 16, 2026 at San Francisco in San Francisco, CA
We're launching RefusalBench, a new benchmark probing how well frontier models handle biosecurity-related questions. Come for the following:
Technical talks on the challenges of evaluating frontier AI for biosecurity, followed by a social.
Biosecurity themed food and drinks provided.
We've been heads-down on biosecurity at Latch for a while now, and we're excited to finally open up and share what we've been building. This space is still small, and we think it's stronger when it's shared - so we're opening our doors to people from frontier labs , biotech, and the broader AI safety community to come hear the talks, meet the people already working in it, and see where we've landed.
We'll hear from:

San Francisco as a “venue” usually means the event could be in a private dining room, a historic building, or a coworking or gallery-style space somewhere in the city. Tech and founder dinners like the Junto series often use private clubs or reservation-only restaurants, with multi-course meals at shared tables and a set program. Larger mixers such as SF Climate Week happy hours tend to be in central locations with structured check-in, name badges, sponsor signage, and access to nearby paid parking garages, especially around corridors like Van Ness and downtown. more...
