Bananas is hosting playgroups at the Main Library on the fourth Friday of the month in the community room.
Playgroups give children a place to pretend, play, celebrate music, create art, and dream up inventions while giving parents new parenting tools and a chance to learn more about child development. We hope to see you there!
For families with children ages birth – 5 years-old.
Bananas organiza grupos de juego en la Biblioteca Principal el cuarto viernes de cada mes en la sala comunitaria.
Los grupos de juego ofrecen a los niños un espacio para imaginar, jugar, celebrar la música, crear arte y soñar con inventos, mientras que los cuidadores reciben nuevas herramientas de crianza y la oportunidad de aprender más sobre el desarrollo infantil. ¡Esperamos verte allí!

Oakland Public Library’s Main Library is the big central branch in downtown Oakland, a short walk from Lake Merritt and near a bunch of bus lines and BART. Inside, it feels like a traditional multi story city library, with a busy ground floor, quieter upper levels, and lots of tables, study spots, and public computers. There is paid street parking and a couple of garages nearby, but spaces can be tight, so many people use transit instead. more...
