Tired of the same old mimics and gelatinous cubes? Join us to discover the games beyond D&D! Players can expect short campaigns featuring interesting and innovative TTRPG systems led by an experienced and imaginative DM. This event is suitable for beginners and seasoned players alike who are interested in collaborative storytelling and problem solving. Drop in is okay but space may be limited.  All materials provided, but please:  have a positive mental attitudebe ready to meet new peoplecome on time and be prepared to commit to the full session This session is intended for 18+. Oakland Public Library’s Main Library is the big central branch in downtown Oakland, a short walk from Lake Merritt and near a bunch of bus lines and BART. Inside, it feels like a traditional multi story city library, with a busy ground floor, quieter upper levels, and lots of tables, study spots, and public computers. There is paid street parking and a couple of garages nearby, but spaces can be tight, so many people use transit instead. more...
