Where corporate governance meets what's next.
The Corporate Governance Tech Summit brings together the people shaping how public companies are governed — and owned — for a focused afternoon at the intersection of governance and technology.
Co-hosted by Pennant and the Society for Corporate Governance, the Summit convenes institutional investors, public companies, and the counsel who advise them to work through the shifts redefining the boardroom: the exodus from Delaware, the arrival of AI in stewardship and activism, and what long-term thinking really asks of companies and their owners.
On the agenda
Opening Fireside — Governance Learnings from Incorruptible. A conversation with Eric Ries, New York Times best-selling author of The Lean Startup and founder of the Long-Term Stock Exchange, moderated by Evan Epstein, Founder of Boardroom Governance and Affiliated Scholar and Adjunct Professor at UC Law SF. Every guest takes home a copy of Eric's new book, Incorruptible: Why Good Companies Go Bad… and How Great Companies Stay Great.
DExit? — Company & investor perspectives on Texas, Nevada, and staying put in Delaware.
From the Labs to the Boardroom — What AI developments mean for public companies and their investors.
Does AI Stand for "Activist Investor?" — Implications for shareholder activism.

WorkOS uses its third-floor downtown San Francisco office as a regular meetup spot for developer and AI events. The entrance is on Market in the Financial District, with elevator access up to the space. Most gatherings listed here start around the early evening, which lines up with typical after-work timing for people coming from nearby offices or off BART. more...
