It's Thursday night. You've had a long day at work, it's nearly the weekend, and you're ready for a treat to help you unwind. This is the premise of Jennifer Newens' Thursday Night Tiki Lounge, a collection of 52 drinks (one for each Thursday in the year).
On Thursday, September 3rd, Newens will be at the Main Library for discussion of her book and a demonstration of mocktail making and shaking for patrons to enjoy. Please make sure to register for the event as mocktail supplies will be limited.

Oakland Public Library’s Main Library is the big central branch in downtown Oakland, a short walk from Lake Merritt and near a bunch of bus lines and BART. Inside, it feels like a traditional multi story city library, with a busy ground floor, quieter upper levels, and lots of tables, study spots, and public computers.
