Matthew Bae is a San Francisco-based jazz pianist. He grew up studying classical piano and viola, later expanding into chamber music, orchestra, and other ensemble settings as well as studying American Gamelan. He performs jazz in settings ranging from intimate duos to larger group configurations. His playing is inspired with a continuous study of the existing jazz language and ever-evolving interpretations.

Otherwise Brewing is a gluten-free craft brewery and taproom in North Beach, a short walk from the busier bar blocks but still in the middle of the neighborhood.
