The Ai-Native Talent Hunt With Codex - #Sftechweek
scrappy sessions @ connected stack
This event is over, it happened on
September 10, 2026 at San Francisco in San Francisco, CA
Scrappy Sessions started as a weekly gathering at the True Ventures office. A room full of builders demoing whatever they've been making, from sweat patches to personal knowledge graphs to AI for beauty cataloguing.
On September 10th, after the morning programming of Connected Stack, we're bringing Scrappy Sessions to the main stage at the Presidio Theatre. Around 12 of the earliest builders who are paving the way forward will be demoing to a live audience of hundreds. Consumer, hardtech, enterprise, weird, wonderful - if it's live and it's real, it belongs here.
To kick things off, Kevin Rose and Mike Montano will join Madeline Minshew of True Ventures for a candid conversation about how they’re building today. They’ll share what’s exciting, what’s still missing, the tools and workflows shaping their day-to-day work, and what early founders should know about getting noticed and funded.
Who's demoing: Early AI builders!
Who should come: Anyone who wants to see what's being built right now, before the rest of the world catches on. Hundreds of founders, engineers, designers, and, investors will be here.
The format:
Opening conversation
12 live demos - 4 minutes per demo + 3 minutes of Q&A from the True Ventures Team
Meet friends: stick around to meet and talk with fun people thinking about what comes next.
Hosted by True Ventures in partnership with Vercel and SVB.

San Francisco as a “venue” usually means the event could be in a private dining room, a historic building, or a coworking or gallery-style space somewhere in the city. Tech and founder dinners like the Junto series often use private clubs or reservation-only restaurants, with multi-course meals at shared tables and a set program. Larger mixers such as SF Climate Week happy hours tend to be in central locations with structured check-in, name badges, sponsor signage, and access to nearby paid parking garages, especially around corridors like Van Ness and downtown. more...
