The Ai-Native Talent Hunt With Codex - #Sftechweek
Side-Project Party II
This event is over, it happened on
August 27, 2026 at San Francisco in San Francisco, CA
The best things start as side-projects.
Have a new idea? Or one you've been working on for years? A glimmer of curiosity you'd like to follow, or an obsession that you're spending all your shower-thoughts on?
Why not work on it surrounded by other fantastic people with passions of their own?
Make progress and friends at the Side-Project Party!
The plan
Think of it as an stress-free hackathon where the only goals are flow, inspiration and accomplishment. The only structure we add is for you to get to know each other and your projects.
4PM - 6PM: work & hang out
Join us for the afternoon session if you can!
Light snacks & drinks provided.
6PM - 7PM: intros & ships
Your intros: Tell us a bit about your project! (voluntary)
Sponsor intro: We'll briefly shill jazz.tools to you, the database engine we're building for the age of a thousand side projects. Your Claudes will love it!
Your ships: Whether it's a big launch or just a neat bit of progress, tell us what you shipped and we'll celebrate with you!
7PM - 9PM: work & hang out
Join us for the evening session if you can!
More substantial snacks & drinks provided.
The place
We've got a new venue where we'll be able to do this regularly!
We'll be at the super-cozy SF Social Club in SoMa! With plenty of light, seating and workspace you'll feel right at home.
We can't wait to meet you!
We'd like to make this a monthly event - help us shape it by coming and setting the vibe ♥︎

San Francisco as a “venue” usually means the event could be in a private dining room, a historic building, or a coworking or gallery-style space somewhere in the city. Tech and founder dinners like the Junto series often use private clubs or reservation-only restaurants, with multi-course meals at shared tables and a set program. Larger mixers such as SF Climate Week happy hours tend to be in central locations with structured check-in, name badges, sponsor signage, and access to nearby paid parking garages, especially around corridors like Van Ness and downtown. more...
