Title: Simplifying for Impact: 2-Day Plein Air Workshop

Description: Cleo will be working in oil, though she is well versed in watercolor, gouache and acrylic. Our focus will be in simplifying our scenes, leaving out clutter that detracts from your focus, and designing powerful compositions. We will meet at Frank Bette Center on the first day with the painting location TBD.
Fee: $250 Members; $300 Non-members
Medium: All mediums welcome

Notes: Some experience is recommended, if working in mediums other than oil; 18+ years; minimum enrollment required for class to proceed.

Frank Bette Center for the Arts is a small community art hub in a quiet Alameda neighborhood near Lincoln Avenue, a few blocks from the busier Park Street corridor. The space is set up as a house-turned-gallery, so visitors can expect a mix of gallery rooms and smaller nooks used for exhibits, meetings, and classes. Regular visitors get used to finding a mix of framed work on the walls, tables with event materials, and signs pointing to current shows or workshops rather than a polished museum layout. more...
