Calling all Pokémon Trainers! Whether you are brand new to the Pokémon Trading Card Game or already a deck-building master, come hang out, play, and connect with other fans.
Each week, you’ll have a chance to:
- Learn how to play the Pokémon Trading Card Game
- Build your own deck
- Teach and battle with other players
- Make friends and be part of a fun community
No experience needed — all materials are provided! Just bring your enthusiasm and get ready for some exciting Pokémon battles!

The César E. Chávez Branch is part of the Oakland Public Library system in the Fruitvale neighborhood, inside the Fruitvale Transit Village near the BART station. The space is straightforward and busy, with a typical mix of families, teens, and older patrons throughout the afternoon.
