Where the Shadow Falls by Faye Wheeler explores the California wilderness as both inspiration and refuge. Drawing from her experiences hiking through Bay Area redwood forests and golden-grass hillsides, Wheeler creates brightly saturated landscapes that blur the line between memory and imagination. Slightly surreal in color and form, these paintings and drawings become meditations on love, connection, loss, and the places—and people—we carry with us.
