Zolo-Solo
This event is over, it happened on
August 8, 2026 at Rite Spot Cafe in San Francisco, CA
Zolo-Solo — Chewy Marzolo, solo — is the happy hour set at the Rite Spot from the multi-instrumentalist Bay Area musician who drums and arranges for bands including Hammers of Misfortune, King City, and The Real McKenzies, and of course anchors The Big Meat Combo. Ahead of tonight’s night’s full Big Meat Combo show, he warms up the room alone, on guitar and vocals. It’s a quieter, intimate preview from a musician better known for high-energy work across metal, blues, country and rock.

Rite Spot Cafe is a small, low-key bar and restaurant in the Mission District that doubles as a listening room. Inside, it feels more like an old neighborhood spot than a formal venue, with a full bar, table seating, and a small performance area up front built around a house piano. It serves straightforward Italian-style comfort food and cocktails, so it works for people who want a real meal with a show and people who are just there for drinks. more...
