Hemming & Mending Clothes By Hand

Back by popular demand!
Learn how to mend your clothes with artist Bea Byrne. We'll cover shortening pants, mending holes and replacing lost buttons. Practice garments will be provided but you are also welcome to bring your own clean clothes for advice on how to mend them.
Supplies are limited and spots are available on a first come, first served basis. Doors will open at 2:00PM.

Temescal Branch is the neighborhood library for the Telegraph and 52nd area of Oakland’s Temescal district. It is a multi story building with an entrance on Telegraph and an elevator that connects to the lower level. Inside, expect a compact but busy space with popular books in English, a good-sized children’s area, and smaller language collections for kids and adults, including Spanish, Tigrinya, and Amharic. more...
