We start with Jules Leyhe & The Family Jules. Jules is one of the world’s foremost blues slide-guitar players—so much so that even Premier Guitar magazine called his music “the best blues slide licks since Derek Trucks, maybe even Duane Allman.” His band is also top-notch - featuring Ian McArldle on piano, Isaac Schwartz on drums and renowned bassist Matt Roades. Then we add a special guest to create something new and exciting! This month the featured guest is Adam Levy.

The Sound Room is a small, focused listening room in Oakland, a short stretch up Broadway from downtown and close to major bus lines and BART connections. Inside, it feels more like a neighborhood arts space than a bar, with a low stage, simple lighting, and rows of small tables where most people sit for the whole show. Seating is usually at four-person tables and can be either general admission or assigned, depending on the night. more...
