Steeping the Medicine of Luminous AwarenessWe live in a time when even healing can become another thing we're expected to get right. When something feels unsettled, we search for another answer, another practice, another way to become calmer, healthier, happier, or more whole. Somewhere along the way, healing itself can become exhausting.As the days shorten and the natural world begins to draw its energy inward, we are reminded that not every season asks us to bloom.Join us for a contemplative tea ceremony inspired by Medicine Buddha and the traditional Gongfu Cha (功夫茶). Medicine Buddha (药师佛) is a figure associated with healing, clarity, and compassion in Buddhist traditions. Often depicted in the deep blue of lapis lazuli, Medicine Buddha invites us to consider healing not only as fixing what hurts, but as the restoration of clear seeing.Through meditation, symbolic ritual, and four specially curated rare teas, we'll explore a different relationship with healing. Each tea has been thoughtfully chosen to accompany a different stage of our journey through clear seeing, deep listening, nourishment, and luminous awareness.As the ceremony unfolds, you may begin to notice where healing has become striving, soften the pressure to have everything figured out, and rediscover what genuinely nourishes you.The four rare teas featured during the ceremony will also be available to purchase afterward, inviting you to continue your journey with a tea that spoke to you.No knowledge of Buddhism, Medicine Buddha, meditation, or Gongfu Cha is needed. Whether you're drawn by Medicine Buddha, extraordinary teas, or simply the invitation to pause and listen, we welcome you to an afternoon of tea, nourishment, and luminous awareness.
