Volunteer Day & Open House events are hands-on. Newcomers usually get a quick orientation, then fold into whatever is happening that day, from basic garden work to light tool use in the makerspace. There are sheep and chickens on site, along with beehives, so it feels more like an urban farm and outdoor lab than a traditional classroom. The regular schedule centers on Wednesday afternoons and Sundays, and on Wednesdays activity often rolls into a casual evening potluck around the fire circle. Programs that land here range from youth field trips and nature clubs to public workshops on topics like sea level rise planning or climate tech.

REAP Climate Center functions as a nonprofit science and training campus focused on regenerative, nature based systems. The place ties together urban farming, composting, animal care, and a small but growing makerspace that has already turned an old World War II field office into a meeting room and scrap metal into seating for a simple outdoor theater. Visitors coming for an event should be ready for uneven ground, changing weather, and work that might involve dirt and tools rather than indoor lecture time.
