Olivier Rivière's Wines of Rioja & Bordeaux @ College Ave. Thursday, August 6th 5-7pm $15 ($5 for Club Members) Olivier Rivière has become one of the most compelling voices in modern European wine. Born near Bordeaux and trained in St-Émilion, he honed his craft with legendary producers including Domaine Leroy before moving to Spain to work with Telmo Rodriguez on biodynamic viticulture. Since launching his own project in Rioja in 2006, Olivier has earned acclaim for wines that balance precision, freshness, and a deep sense of place. Join us with Andres from La Grenouillère Imports as we taste through wines from both Rioja and Bordeaux, and see how one winemaker is redefining two of Europe’s most iconic wine regions.

Vintage Berkeley on Vine Street is a small neighborhood wine shop in North Berkeley, a short walk from the cluster of restaurants and cafes often called the Gourmet Ghetto. The space is compact and straightforward, with shelves of bottles organized by region and style and a small counter where staff talk through picks or pour tastes during events.
