Join us for a generative poetry workshop with Cantonese author, artist, and poet, Yan-Yin Choy.*The session begins with meditation. We will write poems following Asian traditions, then revise using metaphors, musicality, and more. We'll end with an open mic where participants are invited to share their poems.Tea and light refreshments served.*Yan-Yin's poetry is published in the âAsian American Healing in Natureâ anthology by Chopsticks Alley Art.

Golden Gate Branch is the neighborhood library for the Golden Gate part of North Oakland, in the stretch between Emeryville and Berkeley. The building is a modest multi story brick library with a fairly quiet feel inside.
