Come pick up free sprouts for your garden! We offer a variety of flower, herb, fruit, and vegetable sprouts. Take your pick!
Sprouts are seeds that have just started to take root in the soil. The sprouts come from seeds from the Golden Gate branch's seed library and from library patrons who have grown their plants to seed and donated those extra seeds. The sprouts are cared for by library staff and placed near the seed library inside the branch for easy access.
Supplies are limited and available on a first-come-first-serve basis. For more information about what type of sprouts are available, please call Golden Gate library at 510-597-5023.

Golden Gate Branch is the neighborhood library for the Golden Gate part of North Oakland, in the stretch between Emeryville and Berkeley. The building is a modest multi story brick library with a fairly quiet feel inside.
