Join us for Teen Graphic Novel Book Club on the third Tuesday of the month at the Golden Gate Branch. We'll discuss this month's graphic novel, share recommendations for other graphic novels we've read recently, and enjoy some snacks. Open to youth ages 12-18.

What's it about? Inspired by Armenian and Persian mythology, three siblings must impress a mystical being with a fantastic culinary dish in order to save their sick mom.

P.S. You don't have to finish the book to come to book club (just be OK with spoilers). You can also dislike the book (or parts of it) and still come to book club. Basically - you are always welcome at book club!

Golden Gate Branch is the neighborhood library for the Golden Gate part of North Oakland, in the stretch between Emeryville and Berkeley. The building is a modest multi story brick library with a fairly quiet feel inside. Regular visitors tend to be families with young kids, teens from nearby schools, and adults using the computers or working at tables. more...
