Teens! Do you like to eat? School's back in session and so are Foodie Fridays! Come to the TeenZone on the first Friday of the month and learn how to make delicious dishes like ice cream, onigiri, pizza, green onion pancakes, congee, smashed cucumbers, and coconut curry.All tweens and teens welcome. All ingredients provided. No cooking experience needed!

Oakland Public Library’s Main Library is the big central branch in downtown Oakland, a short walk from Lake Merritt and near a bunch of bus lines and BART. Inside, it feels like a traditional multi story city library, with a busy ground floor, quieter upper levels, and lots of tables, study spots, and public computers. There is paid street parking and a couple of garages nearby, but spaces can be tight, so many people use transit instead. more...
