Topographies is a solo exhibition by artist Deborah Sibony, currently on view at Dictée Gallery. The exhibition officially celebrates its Opening Reception this Saturday, March 21st, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by an Artist Presentation on Saturday, March 28th, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
The collection features mixed media monotypes that explore the landscape as both physical terrain and intangible ground. Sibony’s work focuses on the intersection of architecture and nature—specifically abandoned industrial structures caught between deconstruction and renewal. Using litho transfers, ink, and painting, the artist reveals a delicate tension between the strength of construction and the fragility of memory.

Dictee Art & Exhibition is a small gallery space in Oakland’s Bella Vista / Clinton area, inside the New Village Oakland building on 11th Avenue. The main room is simple and light, with clean walls, wood floors, and enough room to move around between works without feeling packed in. Large doors open onto a front deck and a California habitat garden, so events often spill outside. more...
