Studio 23 Gallery is a small, informal art space tucked in the back lot at the corner of Encinal and Oak in downtown Alameda, just off Park Street. Visitors enter through a driveway into a low-key converted space that feels more like a working studio than a polished museum. The gallery usually opens for specific shows, Second Friday art walks in the evening, and scheduled workshops, so people coming for an event can expect it to be active only when something is on the calendar. more...
