Spooky Art: Spiders And More!
The Grove Restaurant & Bar sits in the middle of downtown’s Yerba Buena area, a short walk from the museums and the Moscone convention halls. It is an all-day spot, so someone heading to a 5 pm show can grab an early dinner or a drink without rushing. The room is casual and busy, with a main counter for ordering food and drinks and staff running trays out to tables.

There is a full bar, coffee service, and a menu that runs through breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so the crowd shifts from laptop campers in the afternoon to after-work groups and pre-event meetups later on.
For shows like Rhonda Sauce’s jazz set, Sami Stevens’ songwriter night, or Austin Wazz’s indie-psychedelic solo gig, the music happens in the Grove Bar area from early evening into the dinner hour. Expect close-up, small-venue energy rather than a dedicated listening room. People are usually still eating and talking, but the sound is clear enough to follow a set while working through a burger or a drink. Seating is a mix of booths and tables in the main dining room, an upstairs mezzanine that looks down over the space, and a covered, heated patio that faces the sidewalk.
The place is independently owned and leans into a “living room” feel, with lots of wood, planted trees that rise up through the dining room, and an upstairs level decorated with black-and-white photos and a vintage 1960s Gretsch Corvette guitar on the wall. The mezzanine and patio are often reserved for private events, so it is common to find one section roped for a group while the rest stays open to walk-ins. For anyone coming to a specific performance, it is worth arriving a little early to claim a table with a decent sightline to the bar area and settle in before the music starts.
