Join us as we explore the history and process of fermented tempeh – a storied, nutritious protein staple originally from Indonesia. This is a hands-on workshop! Using kitchen magic, we will condense the key steps of a 2-3 day process into a hands-on primer on the basics, from boiling and inoculating beans, to incubation and culinary uses! Students will take home a block of freshly fermented tempeh as well as inoculated beans to incubate at home.
