Series 1 - REBELS

America: The Story of Us

We begin our series with an introduction by the 44th President of the United States of America, President Barack Obama. Chronicles the American colonies' journey toward revolution, focusing on Jamestown, the Birth of American Democracy, and the first recorded enslaved Africans in English North America. They were brought to harvest tobacco, introducing a tragic foundation for racial slavery.

Series 2 - DIVISION

In the South, cotton is king, but slavery fuels a growing divide with violence across territories, and abolitionists make a stand for freedom. The election of President Abraham Lincoln is a catalyst for war.

Series 3 - CITIES

Americans conquer a new frontier: the modern city, with industrialist Andrew Carnegie's empire of steel as its backbone. Skyscrapers and the Statue of Liberty become symbols of the American Dream for many.

Series 4 - BUST

Stock market crashes, the Great Depression, and President Franklin D. Roosevelt's "New Deal" signal recovery, while boxer Joe Louis overcomes racial barriers to help bring back American pride.

Series 5 - SUPERPOWER

The attack on Pearl Harbor brings America into World War II. The war effort revitalizes the nation's economy. A new global superpower takes the stage.

Series 6 - MILLENNIUM

The Cold War is the first test for the new superpower. The space shuttle Challenger disaster and September 11 attacks. From television to credit cards and personal computers, technology drives America into the 21st century.
