Join Elizabeth Vecchiarelli, owner and founder of Preserved, for a demo on how to can whole, crushed and “sauced” summer tomatoes! We’ll discuss the best tomato varieties to preserve and our favorite ways to prep the tomatoes. Then we’ll demonstrate how to can them safely in a water bath. Overcome your fears around canning and learn to preserve the best of the season with us! and open Q&A. TIME & LOCATION Friday August 21, 2026 from 6 pm – 7 pm Preserved, 5540 College Ave, Oakland CA 94618 PLEASE READ DETAILS THOROUGHLY. While this is a free event, we ask that all attendees register as we have limited space available. Tickets are for a mix of seating and standing room, come early for the best chance to get a seat!
