Join us for an evening with Sam Paone of Golden State Pickle Works. We will hear how the use of fermentation and preservation techniques save produce from the waste stream and add both flavor and health benefits. A diverse range of samples will be provided! TIME & LOCATION Friday June 26, 2026 from 6 pm – 7 pm Preserved, 5540 College Ave, Oakland CA 94618 ABOUT THE MAKER Golden State Pickle Works is a Sonoma County-based small-batch fermented foods company founded in 2014 by Sam Paone, aka the Chief Fermentista. The line spans lacto-fermented vegetables, vinegar pickles, hot sauces, drinking elixirs, and Collective Cultures probiotic condiments – all made by hand, using produce sourced directly from local farms. Sam also hosts Jarring Everything on Eat This TV and leads fermentation workshops from their Sonoma kitchen and all around the Bay Area. PLEASE READ DETAILS THOROUGHLY: While this is a free event, we ask that all attendees register as we have limited space available.
