National Craft Open Studios Weekend is presented by the American Craft Council and launches as part of Craft in America’s Handwork: Celebrating American Craft 2026.
This is a first-of-its-kind, nationwide celebration inviting the public into the creative spaces of craft artists across the country.

Werkshack is a shared workspace and gallery in Uptown Oakland that combines artist studios with a small retail area. The space is used by a tight group of resident makers along with rotating exhibitions, so depending on when someone visits, the mix of work on the walls and in the cases can be pretty different. On a typical event night, visitors can expect a casual flow of people walking through studios, chatting with artists, and looking at finished pieces alongside works in progress. more...
