Waystone started out years ago as a wine bar in the Mid-Market area and later reopened in this North Beach location after a pandemic closure, with the same owners carrying over the wine focus and casual food menu. The current space opened in 2023 and was set up with live jazz and rotating local art as part of the plan from the beginning, so events here feel built into the place rather than an afterthought.
